Kinzler Passes 1 Million Safe Man-Hours, Announces Charity Donation

Kinzler Construction Services is proud to announce that their employees have worked one million safe man-hours and have gone more than two years without a loss time injury at any of Kinzler’s six branch locations. Located in Ames, Ankeny, Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, IA as well as Fridley, MN and Tyler, TX, Kinzler Construction Services is a leading installer of insulation products and also distributes construction materials.

Kinzler’s central Iowa team celebrates one-million safe man hours.

“To reach a million safe man-hours without a loss time injury is not only an outstanding achievement but a significant milestone for our organization,” said Tanner Kinzler, President & CEO. “Our Team Member-Focused approach means we’re a workplace where all people, programs, processes, and systems are focused on helping employees grow and advance their careers in a safe environment. The fact that we have achieved such a triumph over a prolonged period of time is not only remarkable, but exemplifies the consistent performance and dedication each of our employees puts forth every day on the job.”

To commemorate the milestone, Kinzler Construction Services will donate more than $23,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Kinzler is partnering with Hubbell Realty Company and other trade partners and volunteers to work around the clock over the course of two weeks to build a brand new two-story house with 18 state-of-the-art rooms to provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment in central Iowa hospitals. Families can stay at little or no cost for as long as their need exists. Kinzler will install gypsum concrete underlayment and sound mat, as well as provide drywall and other construction supplies for the project.

“When families are battling serious illness, keeping them together and near the care they need provides critical peace of mind,” said Brenda Miller, the local charity’s executive director. ” Locally, we had outgrown our aging facility. With the help of generous companies such as Hubbell and Kinzler, we are able to expand our important work serving families in need across Central Iowa. Soon, families will take comfort in a state-of-the-art facility that will give them the dignity and privacy needed to heal.”

“Every company wants to reach a safety goal like Kinzler Construction Services has accomplished,” said Bruce Moore, Safety Director for Kinzler Construction Services. “We are committed to providing ongoing safety training because at the end of the day, if our employees don’t go home safely to their families, nothing else we do matters.”
