Attivo Jobsite Project 2026

Kinzler Construction Services partnered with Haverkamp Construction to provide high-performance insulation solutions for the Attivo Trail multi-phase expansion commercial insulation project. This development consists of three major phases, with the original building completed in 2022, the second phase completed between 2024–2025, and the current third phase underway for 2025–2026. The third phase represents a second major addition to the original structure, continuing the growth of this large-scale commercial facility.

Our team is delivering a comprehensive insulation package designed to maximize energy efficiency, air sealing performance, and occupant comfort across all levels of the building.

Scope of Work

Roof & Structural Transitions

  • Applied 3″ of closed-cell spray foam at roof truss ends on the 3rd floor.
  • Applied 3″ of closed-cell spray foam at rim joists on the 2nd and 1st floors.
  • This assembly provides superior air sealing, moisture control, and thermal performance at critical transition areas.

Exterior Walls

  • Performed full air sealing, including caulking and can-foam application at cracks and around windows and doors.
  • Installed R-21 fiberglass batt insulation with vapor barrier to ensure thermal efficiency and moisture control throughout the exterior envelope.

Interior Walls

  • Installed R-19 fiberglass batt insulation to improve sound control and thermal separation between interior spaces.

Mid-Floor Assemblies (1st & 2nd Floors)

  • Installed netting and dense-packed blown-in fiberglass insulation to fully insulate the mid-floor assemblies, enhancing both thermal performance and sound attenuation between floors.

Project Scale & Production

  • This phase of the building consists of approximately 23,000 square feet per floor.
  • Our team completes one full floor in just 5 days, demonstrating efficient project execution while maintaining high quality standards.

Project Outcome

Kinzler Construction Services is delivering a high-performance, air-tight, and energy-efficient insulation system for the Attivo Trail expansion. Through a strategic combination of closed-cell spray foam, fiberglass batts, and blown-in insulation, this project will achieve long-term durability, improved occupant comfort, and reduced energy costs. This multi-phase commercial insulation project highlights Kinzler’s capability to support large-scale commercial developments with consistent quality and efficient execution.

The Lakewood Suites development has a multi-year history, beginning under a different general contractor and insulation provider. After construction stalled for more than a year due to unresolved issues, Milender White Construction resumed the project and brought in Kinzler Construction Services to complete the remaining insulation scope and correct deficiencies left by the previous team.

Our Denver division stepped in with a clear, solutions-driven approach, providing high-quality materials, updated code compliance, and strong coordination to move the project toward completion.

Scope of Work

Roof & Upper Assembly

  • Installed 4″ closed-cell spray foam (SPF)
  • Applied roof netting, followed by blown-in insulation after SPF to fully fill the cavity.
  • Assembly designed to meet NFPA 13 fire requirements and thermal performance standards.

Exterior Walls

  • Installed R-21 unfaced fiberglass batt insulation with poly, improving energy efficiency and moisture control.

Demising Walls

  • Installed R-11 unfaced fiberglass batts with poly, enhancing sound separation and meeting code requirements between individual units.

Corridor Walls

  • Installed R-19 unfaced fiberglass batts for improved acoustic performance and overall thermal consistency.

Midfloors

  • Fully filled midfloor cavities with unfaced fiberglass batts, meeting NFPA 13 requirements and enhancing sound control between levels.

Parking Ceiling (Under Living Areas)

  • Insulated living-over-parking conditions to improve occupant comfort and thermal consistency.

Project Outcome

Despite the complexities of taking over a partially completed insulation scope, the Kinzler Construction Services Denver team delivered a clean, code-compliant, and reliable solution. Our work corrected prior deficiencies, aligned the project with current fire and thermal requirements, and helped move the Lakewood Suites development closer to completion.

While the original budget was not provided, our focus remained on durability, performance, and supporting the long-term success of the project.

Our team of experienced insulation professionals recently completed a spray foam insulation project for a 4,800-square-foot pole building located in Boone, Iowa.

A pole building is a type of structure that uses large vertical posts set directly into the ground as its primary support system, eliminating the need for a traditional foundation. These buildings are known for their strength, flexibility, and cost efficiency, making them a popular choice for agricultural, commercial, and even residential use. One of the key benefits of pole buildings is their spacious, open interior, which is ideal for activities that require large, unobstructed areas.

About Spray Foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is an excellent choice for pole buildings, particularly for homeowners seeking to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. It creates an airtight seal that helps regulate indoor temperatures year-round, reducing heating and cooling costs. Unlike traditional insulation, spray foam expands to fill gaps and hard-to-reach spaces, providing coverage and moisture resistance.

At Kinzler Construction Services, we worked as a dedicated team to insulate this homeowner’s pole building with spray foam, completing the job in just two days. We carefully covered all floors and steel trusses inside the building, ensuring no overspray occurred during the process. This meticulous approach guarantees long-lasting protection, enhanced comfort, and improved structural integrity for the building.
